  • Building Livable Barns

    For 18 years, Feuer Lumber Company has had the pleasure of working with Richard Bartlett. His specialty is the restoration of century-old barns throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. In his most recent project, Bartlett designed and constructed a livable barn replete with all the amenities of a normal home from the ground up. For the beams and barn boards, our custom-milled rough sawn lumber was his species of choice.

That is why in the building trades, especially on custom high end projects, relationships trump price.

  • Canobie Lake Park

    Feuer lumber company was recently given the opportunity to supply materials at Canobie lake park in Salem, N.H. for the construction of their new roller coaster "UNTAMED". The coaster station features rustic, Adirondack-style design, and the coaster supports resemble birch tree logs. The timbers are Douglas Fir and the roof planks that you can see on the ceilings are 2'' x 8'' rough sawn spruce.

    The interior post and beam timbers are Eastern Hemlock milled on all four sides. The ceiling is 2x6 tongue & groove v-groove Hemlock. The pine paneling is 1x8 edge & center bead Eastern white pine. The exterior siding is 1x10 tounge & groove rough one face Eastern white pine.

  • Hamilton Grange National Memorial

    Hamilton Grange National Memorial is a National Park Service site in New York City that preserves the early 19th-century home of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The Hamilton Grange was built in 1802 and has been relocated twice over the past two centuries.The most recent relocation placed the Grange in St. Nicholas Park where it is being restored to its original design. Feuer Lumber had the opportunity to manufacture the handrail for the main staircase inside the home.

  • Red Pine Flooring

    Pinus resinosa, commonly known as the red pine or Norway pine, is native to North America. The wood is a little heavier and harder than white pine, close grain, hard and fairly strong. It is used for lumber, poles, piles, building construction and flooring. Here Paul Leone of River Village Carpenters, Inc. recently completed a project in West Newbury, MA. using Red Pine for this Waterlox finished wood floor. Paul Leone chose to use Feuer Lumber’s 1x8 Red pine flooring with a #2 grade tongue & groove.
